Open Source Accounting Licenses

We continue to move forward with our release of an open source .net/c# accounting package. The license we are considering is the NPL (as opposed to the GPL, GNU or other more restrictive licenses). We would like to have the option of using modifications created by open source developers in a commercial version, however, we are concerned with the reaction from the open source community.

Open source accounting

Are there developers that are interested in .net open source accounting software that can be used as a stand-alone accounting system or added to an existing application? I am in the process of launching a .net accounting software engine that has been in development for the last three years. The focus of the development process has been to create rules-based accounting software that can be used by developers. My intention is to allow developers to rebrand the software and resell it to their customers or to use the software as part of a development project where accounting functions are needed.
